Seoul is a city that never sleeps. South Korea's true capital powers up as the sun goes down, when the karaoke bars, the soju pubs, the underground clubs and the night markets start to pulse. This 4-day itinerary is designed for those after East Asia's most vibrant, hedonistic side. It begins in Hongdae, the university quarter where street dance battles, free-entry clubs and pochas (street tarp-tent bars) happen every night. The second night dives into Itaewon, the international district with LGBTQ+ clubs, rooftop bars with city views and basement pubs playing music until dawn. The third night explores Gangnam — the quarter of luxury and megaclubs such as Octagon and Mass. The final night is the stuff of legend: noraebang (private Korean karaoke) with tambourines and neons, followed by an after-midnight barbecue. Wake up each day at noon to recover with spicy ramyeon and iced coffee before starting all over again.
