Residence type #1 of 4
Permanent residency for foreigners who have legally resided in Belize for at least 1 continuous year and wish to settle permanently.
Requirements
- Have legally resided in Belize for a minimum of 1 year at application, with absences not exceeding 14 days in total that year (immigration.gov.bz)
- Show good character and conduct
- No serious criminal record
- Show means of subsistence
- Also eligible: those who entered as minors under 16 and have resided at least 10 years (legally or illegally)
Documentation
- Permanent residency application form
- Valid passport with entry stamps
- Criminal record certificates from Belize and the country of origin
- Medical examination and health certificate (HIV, VDRL, chest)
- Proof of employment or economic means
- Passport-size photos
